Rum is for drinking, not for burning.

Well, I am in the works of snagging some PBM tension rods because the TEINs are pretty torqued up. I'm sure I can sell them cheap to someone who wants to rebuild them. I also did something productive and finally ordered inner and outer tie rods from TEIN which should make the wife pretty happy. She's got a huge love for everything TEIN. Anyways, they're beefier than what I have running now so hopefully that's just one more thing checked off the list that I don't have to worry about. I plan on media blasting a lot of the under parts and re-coating them to further protect them from the good ol' New England weather. Some spots, the under coating started to fall off due to age. My next focus is going to be finishing the interior and exterior of the car. I already have suede laying around, just have to stop being a lazy ass and get to work on that and throw the BRIDE back in, a damned horn button, and swap out those wack automatic seat belts for some S14 manuals. Man, those things piss me off. Hopefully the stars align and soon enough the car will be ready. I'm still having issues deciding which route I want to take as far as a kit and paint, but I'll worry about that when the time comes. From what I was told, a decent amount of parts already started arriving in the mail. When I get home, I'll be digging through it all with a massive erection.

Rocks, tonic, juice, magic.

Well, I can honestly say spending Christmas in Afghanistan is worse than I anticipated. I got a little shopping done recently for the S13 as well as looking for a dope set of wheels for it but decided to hold off for a few weeks until something nice comes along. I recently picked up a Tanabe Sustec rear sway bar with brand new Megan end links and mounting hardware. Not a fan of Megan products but if they're brand new and included for free, I won't complain. I plan on getting it hydrodipped after I strip it alongs with a few other parts if I even get around to it. If not, I'll just do some spray paint action because eventually, it's going to get pretty beat. Who knows.

Anyways, Merry Christmas from Afghanistan. I hope you all enjoy your family's company because some of us would kill for that opportunity. Stay safe, drink a lot, do dope shit.

Don't you dare forget.

So, it's been a while since I even touched this blog and I feel like I let some of you down by neglecting it for so long. Being deployed, I haven't had massive time to really work on the car, nevermind even touch the thing. With the new addition in my garage, the EVO is now going to be a dope daily. Man, it feels awesome to sit in an EVO again. It's been far, far too long. For most of you that aren't informed, I picked up a dope WW EVO X. GSR, of course. Not a fan of automatics regardless of the argument they try to make attempting to claim it's a dual clutch transmission with paddles; if it's not a foot clutch, it's not a real stick. That's what I'm throwing out there. Anyways, with my boredom aroused and my urge to work on the S13, I've made some purchases while out here to hopefully do some work when I go home on leave. Amongst the list, what comes to my head is [and I'm most likely forgetting a bit]:

PBM traction rods
PBM tension rods
PBM tie rod spacers
PBM spin knob
SPL solid subframe bushings
SPL solid differential bushings
Apex'i mushroom intake
DEFI boost gauge
DEFI gauge link
S13 non-HICAS subframe
S13 non-HICAS uprights
Project Kics bolt on spacers

I got my eye on:
FReddy intake manifold
PBM PRO coilovers
Innovative wideband
WORK Equips
Shine Auto body kit

There is probably tons more that I snagged and don't remember, but fuck it. I'm not great with my memory and probably even worse off now that I'm deployed. My hearing is shot too so hopefully the exhaust won't sound as loud when I get back. There is so much I still want to do and so much that still needs to get done with what I already have laying around. DSG still needs to tune the bitch, I still need to swap a boat load of parts on, and I still want to enjoy the damned thing. Soon enough, hopefully. The wife is currently whipping around the EVO with some newly acquired winter wheels and tires so hopefully she'll overlook me putting some love and money into the S13. One can only hope.

Anyways, these aren't new pictures, but are pretty dope. Figured I can't let you folks down and give you nothing to look at. Hope you folks have a happy holiday season. Hopefully 2012 is the year this bitch tears up the streets.

To all the haters, sorry you couldn't phase me.

So, the car is home. She will soon be under the knife this coming week. Facs is going to come over and we're going to take care of some wiring, suspension, and interior work. I have some plans for when I return and may even order the Shine Auto Spec-G kit before I dip, but that's still in the air. I am waiting on the kit to get the car painted, but I think BMW M3 Alpine White is going to be the deal via suggestion of Shane while we talked about various shades of white I was thinking about. So, as she sits, I am awaiting a few parts from Nissan and the mail to basically finish her up for now.

550cc DWerks injectors, check.
Apex'i intake, check.
Full 300ZX BBK, check.

Time to hit the ground running and work on it day and night until she's done. My party is coming up fast so I had limited time to do so, but fuck it. Shit don't phase me. Teasers are in order.

Not a huge announcement.

It's not breaking news, but I should be doing a few final touches before I head out the end of this month to go to basic. I finally got in the new Muteki lug nuts and my GReddy turbo timer and HKS harness so I can keep my car's harnesses nice and mint. Decided to go brand new because electronics that are used gives me the jitters. Usually it's hit or miss with those kind of things and for another 10$, it made sense to just go new. Anyways, not sure how awesome you can make these things look on film, but the lug nuts are pretty dope in person. Almost a spitting image of the engine bay.
