The transplant is complete.

After a long day of driving and car shenanigans, the 240 is almost ready to come home. Dropped off the turbo, gaskets, and all the bullshit that goes along with it and caught a glimpse for the first time after seeing the tubs being tack welded in. Needless to say, I'm ecstatic with the results.

Soon she will be home so I can get to work. I have a list of shit I still need to take care of with a couple days set aside to do so. From 300ZX brake/e-brake conversion, 5-lug conversion, bolting in the Bride VIOS III Low Max on the new Bride FG super low mounts, throw on the MB Battles, and so much more. Wiring the turbo timer should be pretty straight forward, so the only thing that I'm looking at is the 500 mile break-in for the clutch and turbo. Man, I'm amped. Time needs to move faster until she comes home - then time can slow the fuck down.

A splash of style.

After talking with a friend of mine last night, he is planning on selling me his kit for the hatch. His car at the moment is straight boss but I guess he plans on going a different route. After the reglassing and repair of the front, I will get the car prepped for paint. Recently there is an outcry of people interested in biting the style and direction of where my car is going in, but I am on fire and that will not slow down the steam. Feel free to imitate, but you can never be the real thing. A little preview as to come is below mounted on my friend Kevin Phan's car. His car rules like a king.

Ballin' out of control.

The interior is coming along nicely. I'm no fan of the stock interior as far as upholstery. I decided to get a seat that I'd enjoy and fit in snuggly. I had some harnesses laying around and figured it's time to get something I can put the whole setup to work for. I went with a BRIDE Low Max VIOS III. Good style, good fitment, and it will flow with my interior plans. I am going to score some suede material to reupholster the headliner, door cards, and possibly a dashmat. This post would be utterly useless without pictures.

I could care less what others think. I could care less of their opinions or remarks. I do me. I am me. This car is going to be built and built correctly. Haters gonnna hate, because if I don't have haters, it's not being done correctly.

New arrival.

Opened my door this morning to someone ringing. It was UPS dropped off a package. After looking at the two boxes and the sender address, I slammed the door and ran inside. Pulling out a knife to open the box, you could just sense the amount of excitement. I ripped the boxes open like a kid at his birthday party. After a long await, my PoweredByMax rear upper control arms and toe rods came in. I plan on slamming the car with still having full functionality so the choice was easy and these were a must. They even look baller. Later today, I will be going to a friend of mine's house to drop his SR20DET in his hatch. The local crowd of kids that know a thing or two about sideways motor sports grows larger. The fun that is to be had is only making me more and more excited to get the car completely put together.

The long wait grows shorter.

The S13 is now getting new additions. With purchases of some brand new swagger for the car, this thing is going to be grade-A. The parts were hand picked with advice and knowledge given all around. I asked people for experiences, luck, their thoughts on quality, and regrets. So, I'm pretty happy with what I've ordered. It was all in leu of ordering them the first time and not doing anything half-assed. I am building the car around dominant parts for it's setup and hopefully I will be happy with the outcome. The order sheet consists of only brand new parts and is as followed:

PoweredByMax rear upper control arms
PoweredByMax rear toe rods
SARD 550cc side-feed injectors
Garrett S15 OEM ball bearing T28 turbo
STANCE reclocking kit
N62 mass airflow sensor
GReddy oil catch can
All new Earl lines and ANS fittings
All new OEM turbo lines, tubes, and gaskets

Chances of me forgetting a thing here and there are pretty high as I did pretty much look for parts for a straight week and narrow down what I was looking for. I have my eyes set on a BRIDE gradation seat with brackets and rails but haven't pulling the trigger on that as of yet. I hope to have all these parts soon and even snagged a new camera to take pictures of when she returns home. The day she arrives, I plan on going out to celebrate with wasting whatever set of tires are on her now.

We miss you, S13. Come home soon.

The updates roll in.

The days roll in and the pictures slowly make their way to me. Although I expected a plethora of them, I only received a smaller amount of my expectations. The results of the work put into the car right now actually are satisfying. The plans for the swap were a simple SR20DET swap with some new supporting modifications including front-mount intercooler, new piping, blow off valve, etc. Looks like I will be selling my 1992 240SX coupe to fund the build and make it more than I anticipated which makes me rather giddy.

Post-tubbing and bay painting:

Post-engine install:

More updates are coming. Hopefully I will be picking the car up in a week or so and then even more work begins - mostly the body work to get her painted white and I can slap the 5-lug swap on and mount the MB Battles. Anticipation mounts.

I finally took the plunge.

So, I finally decided that making one of these would be a good idea. It'll follow the lengths of my builds, friends, meets, and more. Maybe it will keep me a little more organized and actually force me to finally get a better camera and stop procrastinating in that department. Anyways, feel free to check back often to see the numerous amounts of photographs, videos, and non-sense.
